October Half Term 2020: What's on?

We are delighted to share our recommendations for a fabulous half term here in Cornwall. With a fantastic local landscape for those who love to explore, along with a variety of unique attractions – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Enjoy a walk on the beach as the sun rises before heading back to the hotel for breakfast, or walk the shore as the sun sets and warm up with a drink by the fire in our lounge upon your return.

Shipwreck Museum Charlestown | St Austell
Discover over 8,000 finds from over 150 shipwrecks, immerse yourselves in the stories behind the objects. 

Eden Project | St Austell
Halloweden is back for 2020! Follow the spooky trail through deep into the biomes and delve into secrets and folklore, meet bewitching birds of the night from Screech Owl Sanctuary and finish off the fun with a skate on their reopened ice rink.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan | St Austell
The annual harvest festival is back, celebrating the season with an exciting array of displays, demonstrations and autumnal menus to tantalise taste buds.

Kings Wood | St Austell
A great place for an autumnal family walk, you can follow the woods through to the Pentewan trail, which leads onto the beach. 

Bodmin Jail | Bodmin
Explore the haunted jail during the day time, or if you feel brave, visit after dark and watch one of their spooky cinema screenings. Perhaps you’ll take a chance on a nighttime ghost walk?

Cardinham Woods | Bodmin
This woodland provides the perfect setting for a long, autumnal walk, complete with pine cones and crunchy leaves. 

Lanhydrock National Trust | Bodmin
Autumn at Lanhydrock is the perfect time to get started on the 50 things to do before you are 11 ¾ challenge. Can you build a den in the woods? Can you play a game of conkers? You could even go Welly Wandering!
