Back and Better Than Before
We are delighted to welcome our guests both well acquainted and new into the warmth of our luxury hotel. No matter if this is your first Cornish Getaway or if you are a Summer holiday veteran, we will be sure to sweep you off of your feet with a host of exclusive new offerings.
Let me walk you through our hotel, from room to restaurant.
Starting upstairs, we have begun a renovation of our classic rooms to provide a modern frame to the perfect views they possess - a palette of neutral sandy beiges, crisp whites, and mindful greys overlook the waters in our sea-facing suites. We know a room is not only used as a base during your time away but forms the base of a great getaway. It won't be long before you're resting your head on our plump pillows, readying for another day of much-awaited Cornwall exploring. Making our way down to The Terrace Lounge for a pre-dinner aperitif accompanied by live piano from our resident pianist. Our Barman has been busy preparing an all new Cocktail Menu, ready to be sipped on our sun-soaked terrace or whilst sunken into our plush lounge sofas. As a sweet cocktail drinker, my personal favorite would be Cornish controversy "Jam First" - a martini glass layered with jam, Ameretto, Wrecking Coast Clotted Cream Gin, and double cream with a sprinkling of shortbread to finish. Perhaps you're less partial to something sweet, for the Bourbon drinkers I recommend a twist on a classic that'll be sure to cause onlookers to envy; Biome No.3: Knob Creek Bourbon, Koneva Cornish Aperitif and Bitters, smoked over cherry wood. Our bar staff are confident there's something for everybody, but if you feel like going off-piste with a favourite of yours let us know and we can build you your perfect cocktail (subject to ingredients).
Next door at The Bay View, dinner preparations will be underway in the kitchen. Peruse over our seasonal menu, with a variety of dishes from ocean or land - all produce locally sourced and catches freshly delivered from boat to door daily for a taste of Cornwall. When you're ready to order, our friendly front-of-house team will be at hand to help you create your order and accommodate your preferences. Try our Roasted Cornish Duck for an infusion of flavours; seared fois gras, sea buckthorn, charred leek, lavage, pomegranate molasses, and raspberry cider - a taste to leave you feeling inspired. Top tip: get to know your host to make the most of local knowledge and find out about hidden gems to make your stay most authentic.
Our resort is set in 250-acres of manicured gardens and grounds, with our own 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses as well as our very own best-kept secret - Carlyon Cove, a secluded private beach. Take an early morning stroll to discover all our estate has to offer, you might find yourself on a desolate white sand cove taking in a renowned Cornish sunrise over the English Channel.
