Charlestown Regatta

In the historic port of Charlestown, a stumble along the coastal path from the Carlyon Bay Hotel, the Regatta returns from the 27th of July for 1 week.

This infamous event in the local area is hosted in the beautiful home to TV series Poldark with a wealth of activities for all to enjoy throughout the week.


What is happening during Regatta Week?

Saturday 27th - Triathlon, Junior Biathlon, Raft Race and Crowning of the Carnival Queen.

There is also a Treasure Hunt, Sailing Race, Water Polo, Children's Entertainer and Knobbly Knees Competition

Sunday 28thSea Sunday

A Nautical themed afternoon with Live Music, Craft Stalls, BBQ and of course a Pasty Workshop

Monday 29thCharlestown Regatta Challenge Gig Race

Tuesday 30th Children's Sports

Races and games for all ages. The Annual Egg Extravaganza followed by Live entertainment at the Rashleigh Arms.

Wednesday 31st - Johnny Cowling Supported by Jailhouse from 7 pm. Licensed Bar opens at 6:30 pm. Event Sponsored by the Rashleigh Arms

Thursday 1st The Grand Carnival

Procession at 7 pm (Road Closure 7-8: 30 pm)

Flora Dance and Prize Giving to follow the Carnival.

Finished off with Proms in the Park

Friday 2nd Regatta Rocks!

An evening of Live Open Air Music, Gates Open at 18:30

Adults (16+) £10.00, Children (5-15) £5.00, Under 5's Go Free

Charlestown Regatta is a fantastic event for all the community, welcoming visitors to make the most of the festivities in the Summer. Take a short walk from the hotel and make the most of what Cornwalls Summer has to offer.
