Making the most of autumn at the Carlyon Bay Hotel
Autumn sees a dramatic change in the aesthetic of our hotel, as the ivy and Virginia creeper that cloaks our hotel turns a bright red.
All around us, crisp leaves fall to the ground, making those famous coastal walks even more enjoyable. If you prefer to be right along the shore, a crisp sea breeze could be exactly what is needed to revitalise your senses, as the cold sand parts way underfoot.
Our lounge is as cosy as ever as the nights draw in, with sumptuous Cornish cream teas available as you while away those afternoons. Why not really indulge yourself, and order a full Afternoon Tea?
For the more energetic, our golf course remains at its peak, with the Clubhouse available for those post-round debates and warming coffees. You could also treat yourself to a traditional lunch, like fish and chips, as you gaze out towards the Gribbin Head.
Our Bay View Restaurant will be serving autumn’s best local produce, in carefully designed menus, deliberate in showing off the best that Cornwall has to offer. Pairings with local wines are available, to really tantalise your taste buds as you take in those incredible autumnal sunsets.
Our reception team are able to offer discounted rates for those wanting to visit some of the Cornish gardens in their golden moments. Perhaps you’ll escape the season to explore the tropical biomes of the Eden Project, or visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan to enjoy one of their harvest festivities?
Don’t forget, our kitchen can make you a packed lunch to take away for the day, with children able to enjoy theirs for free.
